Natural Flush Bird Launchers from D.T.Systems Take Dog Training to a New Level

Professional dog trainers know that to put the finishing touches on a bird dog or retriever there is nothing like using live birds for training sessions. The Natural Flush Bird Launchers from D.T. Systems make using live birds easy for any trainer. The launchers can be set up and used by the trainer or by an assistant to increase the simulation of a hunting situation.

D.T. Systems has two series of bird launchers, the BL 500 series for quail and pigeon size birds and the BL 700 series for pheasant and duck size birds. All the launchers can be remotely released with a transmitter that can be programmed to run up to 16 launchers. The launchers can be released at ranges out to 700 yards helping create a real- life hunting situation. The launchers can also be manually released if desired. The transmitter and launcher are each powered by a single 9 volt battery. The remote units have a non-use auto battery shut off to conserve battery life.

The loading of birds into the Natural Flush Bird Launchers has been simplified with D.T. Systems patented trap door. The trap door allows the trainer to load single or multiple birds safely and easily.

These launchers feature D.T. Systems Quiet Release system to prevent spooking the dog. High quality nets and springs are used for effective launching and large scent holes along the sides of the launchers enable bird scent to escape where a dog can smell it. Another useful feature of the D.T launchers is they come with beepers that can be activated with the remote to help locate and retrieve launchers after a training session.

The remote launchers are sold with or without a transmitter. The BL 509 model for quail size birds will hold 4 quail, 2 pigeons or one small chukar and has a retail value of $279.99 with a transmitter. The BL 505 model is an add on remote launcher unit without a transmitter and has a retail value of $199.99.

The BL 709 model for pheasant size birds has a retail value of $329.99 with the transmitter. The BL 705 remote add on model has a retail value of $249.99 without a transmitter.

D.T. Systems also has two manual models of bird launchers, the BL 500 and the BL 700. These economical models have the same basic design as the remote models but are released with a rope. The BL 500 has a retail value of $99.99 and the BL 700 has a retail value of $149.99.

Excel Boats Opens New Manufacturing Facility

With life more demanding than ever, recreational family time is often sacrificed. Spending quality time with family members is the inspiration behind the new Excel Boat Company and the boats they manufacture. Whether it's fishing with your family, duck hunting with buddies or spending a leisurely summer evening on the water, Excel strives to make every boating experience more memorable. Every feature of an Excel boat is designed around safety, convenience and performance; allowing an Excel owner a more enjoyable boating experience and the ability to make the most of valuable family-time.

The new Excel Boat Company evolved from the rubble and total devastation of a deadly F4 tornado. In February 2008, the Rivertrail Boat Company, which had built the line of Excel Boats was leveled, and Rivertrail subsequently went out of business. In 2009, Excel Boats Company was established in Mountain View, AR, about 75 miles north of Little Rock.

Tim Scott, vice president of manufacturing, original founder of the Excel Boat product line and former employee of Xpress, an aluminum boat manufacturing company, manages the company. The new facility produces a full line of welded aluminum hunting and fishing boats ranging in length from 14 to 20 feet.

“Our skilled craftsman will build you the best combination of speed, turning performance, handling, and riding comfort,” Scott says. “We will back up every boat with our performance warranty.”

The Exceleration Hull is a design combination of a high-end bass boat performance hull combined with a slick-bottom triple tapered chime. The benefits equate to a hull with less water spray, better handling, superior lift, greater load capacity and enhanced top-end speed.

Excel boats offer ruggedness and value. The Shallow Water Series features a smooth hull and triple tapered chime to provide access for hunters and fisherman in shallow, stump, rock and weed infested waters. In such situations a slippery smooth hull dramatically outperforms a traditional modified “V” while the tapered chime will roll off stumps, logs and provide less resistance. The 24-inch sides will make outdoorsman equally comfortable in open, rough water.

Similar attention to detail and performance-minded features can be found on every Excel boat model such as a high performance Pad hull on Bass and Sport series boats and the quick Viper hull on Bay Boats. The standard options and attention to detail found on every Excel boat will make the most of any outdoor adventure or leisurely boat ride.
